Vintage fur – good or bad?

My silly little soul is awfully confused with this dilemma: is vintage fur good or bad?

On principle, I’m against fur. But then vintage fur is a tad different story. I mean, the garment has been produced decades ago and the poor little animals have already given their lives to satisfy man’s vanity. Giving a vintage fur garment a new home is a way of making sure that they didn’t die in vain? Right?

Also, by buying this item off a gorgeous burlesque performer friend, I am (and I quote) ‘helping a poor showgirl eat‘. See, its for a good cause after all. *grins*

Sexy new satin & lace Mollini pumps

While I’m not too crazy about the silly lace thingie popping out of the back of this Mollini shoe, I fell in love with the colour and the texture of the lace covered satin. The stupid frill folds in easily and the shoes are a nice everyday office heel to spice up an otherwise tame outfit.

Stunning CUE Re-Collection jacket

I found this stunning CUE Re-Collection jacket today. I wasn’t planning on buying one yet but you know how it is… when you see IT, you need to have it!

I have to say that I was very impressed with the CUE Re-Collection line in general. I found four jackets that I could have bought any of, and to be honest I nearly bought two!

The loveliest compliment

I just have to share a little story from the other day.

My partner had been visiting his family overseas for two weeks and finally returned on Saturday. I went to meet him at the airport, and had naturally dolled up for the occasion. My outfit was built around a cute little 50s ‘candy striper’ style shirt dress, and a pair of slinky 4.5inch peeptoes.

As I was peering at the arrivals board trying to spot my darling man’s flight, a charming elderly gentleman walked up to me and said:

“I’m sorry to bother you miss, but I just have to say that its wonderful to see a classy lady these days! These modern day girls *gestures around*  they slouch around in god knows what… Its so nice to see a girl in a pretty dress and high heels …you look like the beautiful girls I used to take out back in the day.”

Now how lovely is that?

French Connection – Sexy high waisted denim skirt

It was love at first sight! I saw this hot lil denim number on the French Connection website and had to go and get one straight away. Luckily they had my size left in the store!

High waisted, incredibly feminine and super short – its got all the makings of a summer favourite!

Now I only need to find a pair of stilettos to match with my lovely little vintage mesh Oroton handbag and I’m ready to face the summer.

Unfortunately no one seems to be stocking white pumps at the moment. Everything’s just bright, chunky and strappy.

Channelling my inner Domestic Goddess

For some reason I just find the whole 1950s housewife idea so incredibly attractive. I love the clothes, lingerie, hairstyle, makeup, and I – of course – absolutely adore the shoes!

I have just realised that I lack an apron. Now how much more appealing is housework if you think about prancing around the house in stiletto pumps and a sexy lil apron during?
