Vintage fur – good or bad?
May 25, 2009
My silly little soul is awfully confused with this dilemma: is vintage fur good or bad?
On principle, I’m against fur. But then vintage fur is a tad different story. I mean, the garment has been produced decades ago and the poor little animals have already given their lives to satisfy man’s vanity. Giving a vintage fur garment a new home is a way of making sure that they didn’t die in vain? Right?
Also, by buying this item off a gorgeous burlesque performer friend, I am (and I quote) ‘helping a poor showgirl eat‘. See, its for a good cause after all. *grins*
Stunning CUE Re-Collection jacket
March 27, 2009
I found this stunning CUE Re-Collection jacket today. I wasn’t planning on buying one yet but you know how it is… when you see IT, you need to have it!
I have to say that I was very impressed with the CUE Re-Collection line in general. I found four jackets that I could have bought any of, and to be honest I nearly bought two!

Irresistible 50s style polka dot bikini by Odille
December 16, 2008
I was walking out to lunch with a couple of workmates when I saw the cutest ever Odille polka dot bikini in a store window.
I couldn’t pass it! I ran straight in and tried it on.
I ended up getting the pale blue one, as it looked very flattering on a slightly tanned skin.
I have to say that the sizing was a tad odd though. Its fantastic that they sell the tops and bottoms separately, as I had to choose [S] in the bottoms and [L] in the bikini top!
It was love at first sight and I think its the cutest bikini I’ve ever owned!
Travel gear for an upcoming trip
December 15, 2008
Don’t you just hate it when a brand doesn’t take good flattering pictures of their product? I mean, its not exactly brain surgery that you need make a pair of pants look good in the advertising material in order to sell them?
I found two great pairs of travel pants from Mountain Designs. Both are an incredibly good fit on the waits/bum area with a nice loose leg for comfort and to allow freedom of movement. They feel great, look good and are very functional in general.
Then I look up the product pictures so that I can blog the purchase – and this is what I find:
In these pictures the pants look shapeless, stiff and you can’t really tell anything about the details or design. Such a disappointment. But trust me, in real life they look great!
Lush birthday heels from Peeptoe

New buffed black Dana heels from Mollini
December 8, 2008
Here’s a better picture of my new black heels. Aren’t they gorgeous?
I love the simplicity of the shoes and the slick detail of the angled back of the heel. The leather has a gorgeous finish and the overall shape is very flattering and makes my feet look even smaller than they are.
I have a feeling they will be my next favourite pair, so I put another pair on layby just in case…
Super sexy Canon G10 digital camera!
November 17, 2008
I’ve been planning to update my digital camera for ages, but somehow haven’t quite got to it. I’ve had my old Canon G2 since early 2002 and still it takes far superior pictures compared to any of my friend’s pocket cameras. Unfortunately my baby was beginning to age on me and both the resolution as well as the optical zoom had dated a long time ago.
I actually went it to buy hair products, but somehow I walked out with a new camera. I have no idea how it happened, but I’m very excited about my new baby.
Isn’t she sexy?
